Before & After School Care
On-Site Daycare
This information is provided by the YMCA program utilizing TTSD facilities
- YMCA offers before and after-school care at Alberta Rider Elementary.
- Onsite staff provide a variety of activities including sports, games, art, nature, drama, homework time, and snacks.
- YMCA School Age programs are licensed by the state of Oregon Child Care Division.
To register for the 2026-2027 school year, please create a YMCA account if you haven't already, to register your child.
- All current participants must re-register. Space is limited at most locations and it is on a first-come-first-serve basis. If a program is full, you will have the option of being added to a waitlist when going through the registration process. As we hire staff for the fall, we will be expanding capacities and will reach out to families on the waitlist.
- We have made a change to our fee structure from prior to the pandemic. Program fees are now due weekly. However, you will be registering for the entire school year. In-service days are not included in this registration. If you need care on the in-service days, a separate registration will be out soon. Now that we have moved to an online registration system, we will no longer be charging registration fees.
- The YMCA of Columbia‑Willamette has updated pricing for Before & After School Care for the 2026–2027 school year, including lower rates for many families, new 2‑day and 3‑day enrollment options, and pricing that better reflects actual program hours.
These updates were informed by family feedback and are designed to increase affordability and flexibility while maintaining high‑quality care. Families enrolled in YMCA Child Care are also eligible for 30% off YMCA membership.
Open registration begins Tuesday, May 26 at 7:00 AM for all families. Current participants should have received prior communication with early registration information.
