ARE's Family Partnership Advocate Resources and Information

A Family Partnership Advocate or FPA assists families by promoting and protecting the best interests of children and families connecting them to resources and programs they may need. An FPA promotes good communication and relationship between families and schools in a way that is culturally responsive and supportive while working in partnership with both parents and school staff.

As Alberta Rider’s FPA, it is my hope to foster relationships with all of our families regardless of cultural or ethnic backgrounds. In fact, it is my privilege as your FPA to promote cultural equity and to foster respect for families with diverse values and cultures, as well as to recognize and identify each family’s needs and promote their wellbeing.

On this page, we will share with you culturally diverse resources and communications with the intent to create a safe and informative environment.
